I have used a standard ( ie not made to measure) cover for years on my third or fourth now just a maypole or similar make as we are infrequent caravan users and the cover helps to keep the caravan clean? I never had any problems with damage to the caravan etc but I do have a 14 yr old caravan ? I also tow with a front cover , I had a stone damage the front window on our previous caravan so thought I try one again not made to measure I’ve used this cover 3 or four time it’s been fine and agin helps keep the caravan front clean when towing.

I have one. Used it once. What a faf getting it on and strapped up. Not bothered since for the last ten years.
As she is serviced every February I want to know if she’s leaking😉

I used a cover on my Motorhome primarily because it used to be parked under trees at home. Not easy to get on but I managed. Then I moved to another location which is windy and it got shredded to pieces around the straps so I didn't bother anymore.

A neighbour of. Mine had the same problem, he fitted it twice, then I saw it in his bin. Shredded.

I've seen the damage caused when a cover goes wrong, the plastic toggles had broken in the wind. The resulting damage looked like someone had taken a hammer to the entire side of the caravan. No thanks
