caravan lights.

can anybody help please, when i put on my caravan lights the one side is dim compared to the other side,i have tried changing the bulbs but with no effect, has anyone any suggestions of the cause.

thanks geoff

It is most probably due to a faulty connection either in the +ve or earth on that lamp or the feed to it.Can you rule out the car wiring with a trailer board/another caravan etc?Check the rear light and the connections in the 12 N plug for starters.

As stated by JohnG it is probably a faulty or dirty connection not making a proper earth. Check the sockets on both the car and caravan and also take the offending rear light unit apart. Clean up all terminals with a fine emery paper and make sure that a good clean connection is available at all times. Good luck
