I reversed our abi 600 quartz into a branch leaving a 5 inch cut and small dent into the curve of the roof.

Quite suprised when the repairer has said to do a proper job the roof has to be cut across from nearest skylight and whole new panel in place @ £1200-Im concerened he is making a meal of it and what will the life be of the seal on the roof- we are Insured with an excess of £100 so that is not an issue-

that sounds about right,its a fairly big job if your claiming on insurance dont worry about it. your insurance will probably want two estimates any way

if you dont want to claim, stick a load of sealant in the crack

and put loads on top like a mushroom cap and check on it occasionally

some will post with it will leak in,i have done as temporary measure and its worked for months on end
