Caravan Road tax

In his last budget the beloved George Osborne slipped in a new road tax to be charged on all caravans and trailers. It seems the amount of tax will be based on the plated MTPLM and range from £50.00 to a maximum of £350.00.

Failure to display the tax disc will attract the same penalties as on Motor Vehicles ,ie there is every likelyhood the caravan may be confiscated by the authorities and crushed.
Time to downsize maybe

Hi Sir Dusty
I have been appointed Caravan Tax Collection Officer for this area and will pop round later to collect your payment and give you your disc. The charge for your caravan is £325.00 PA. The money collected will go towards beer at the Woosiefest so we can test out gas collection devices.

Didn't get me this time but stop giving politicians ideas on new taxes, they can do that well enough without our help!
