Hello

We are looking to spend a week in Dorset and was wondering if anyone can recommend any touring sites with good dog facilities - ie exercise field etc.

Thanks

Hi Adam, if you're a CC member Hunters Moon at wareham has a large exercise field and a gate into the forest behind, we've been there a couple of times, lots to do in area, weymouth half hour away, swanage, poole, bournemouth the same. Please ask if you'd like more details.

Hi Adam - you do not state what your requirements are - are you a family with children or just husband and wife. We have been and enjoyed Pear Tree Farm Site at Sandford (just between Wareham and Poole on the Wareham road). As we are now just the two of us we don't want "kiss me quick" sites now, we just want a quiet relaxing site. They accept dogs and the dog walk is Wareham Forest. The site and toilet facilities are spotless. It is very central for Poole, Wareham, Swanage, etc. and also the ferry from Studland to Sandbamks.

Now the downside - there is an outdoor children's play area and a shop. No other form of entertainment facility on site. The village pub is a few hundred yards down the road and do excellent food and children are welcome.

Hello Ian & Colin

Thanks for your replies.

Ian - We are members of CC so i will have a look at that site.

Colin - There is just the two of us and the two dogs so we prefer a quiet peaceful site so the one you suggested sounds very appealing.

Thanks again for your replies
