I would say shade, if stored in the sun cover your wheels but don't leave sun blinds down (if you have them) because it will slacken the tension in them.

Get yourself a ProTec cover. A bit of a pain to get on and off, but keeps the van clean and no worries about blinds prying eyes and all that
