Caravan windows and uv light

Long story, but just had a complete new front panel (Cracking)and three new front windows on my 2005 Lunar Quasar 525 which were badly scratched from new.

On getting my van home I noticed that the new windows have a slight 'Blue tint' to them where as my existing ones have more of a brown tint. The part code on the new and existing windows all match. I rang the dealer who informed me that my existing windows would have had a blue tint when they were new, but they fade, discolour, darken, call it what you like, over time with the suns uv rays! I appreciate things change with the suns rays etc but windows going from a blue tint to a brown?

Do I wait 6/12 months to see if they do, or tackle my dealer again.

Any comments would be appreciated.

Cheers..... Mike

Hi Mike,

We had a new front window in and we,re told the same as you. My hubbie even rang up Avondale and they confirmed it as well. That was nearly 2 years ago and as yet we are still waiting for it turn. Now we are wondering if it was just sales patter to get the job done. Makes you wonder eh.
