Caravanning at xmas

Anybody going away in the van for xmas?

We have just booked a 4 night stay at Dornafield near Newton Abbott. This will be the first xmas away in the van and we are just as exited as we were about our summer holiday.

Hi Kevin, we go away every year for 2 weeks over christmas and new year! its a lovely experience being in the caravan over christmas! this year we are going to Broadway in the cotswolds, we can't wait!

we are going off for the first week in January, because with me working in a supermarket we are not allowed time off in December, however we are having a real struggle to get booked in anywhere for the first couple of days with it being new year ( we didnt book sooner as we didnt know if we would get paid out with the insurance and find a new caravan in time)

Dornafield is great though went for the main hols this year and loved it, one of the best sites we have been do, just need to find a site like that one now, and its not lookng hopefull at the mo.

Hi Kev, we are away to Sandy Balls in the New Forest over Christmas, meeting up with friends we met on a site about ten years ago, and have met up with them countless times over the years!Really looking forward to it!!

We have booked up Xmas at Setthorns in the New Forest. we have spent several Xmas's in the caravan and have to say it is great. So relaxing.

We went away the first Xmas we had our van and loved it, ever since we have gone away for Xmas or new year.

This year going to Clumber on boxing day and staying till New years day, the bummer is have to go to work from the van for 3 days.....still it will be nice to get back to atfer a hard day

we have finally got in at Ord house Berwick upon tweed, ( was lucky as only 2 pitches were left) so we have not got far to go to travel to the family in edinburgh but then we can get away from it all, which as long as im not at work and im away from home i wouldnt care where it was.

The CC site in Edinburgh appears to have free pitches from the 1st of Jan.
