Hi Paul, you are very welcome here and we look forward to your posts.

I'm sure that this business will be sorted out in the end, we are not in the business of trying to 'poach' members from other forums and don't want to seem to profit from others misfortune but anyone who is a member of any other caravan forum is always welcome to post on here as well.

The internet is a big place and the more information and help that is available to caravanners (and other users of camping or holiday sites)the better. I've always found Caravan Talk forum to be well set out and informative and I would urge all forum users not to cut off their nose to spite their face.Swifts contribution to the Caravan Talk forum had imho made it what it was.

There is no rule to say that a person can only use one forum, I'm a member of several and I'd hope that those who post on here share their knowledge and experience amongst caravanners everywhere.

CT have made a massive blunder but I sincerely hope that they will take on board the majority of views expressed regarding this unfortunate episode.
Hi! I'm new to this forums but not to caravans - having bought my first caravan in 1972!

I currently own a 2007 Bailey Senator Indiana Series 5 but am eagerly waiting to take delivery in March of my new 2010 Swift Challenger 570!

Parksy, thanks for this.I agree that no-one need be tied to one forum. In my case, time is quite precious and I prefer to spend that time principally using, and contributing to,a site that matches my needs and interests.

A site without Swift's valuable, and voluntary, contributions no longer matches those needs,so,it's this forum for me now (though I will still make the occasional foray into CT).

I know it's well trodden ground but the Swift team should have been congratulated rather than penalised for their involvement with CT.
Sorry.Just in case anyone thinks I've lost my marbles, the above was a response to a much earlier posting by Parksy and not the one to which it appears to be a response.

(Still trying to find my way around the site!)

I have given up on the forum that banned Swift as it has now become a war zone with threads being closed down due to personal attacks and also very over zealous mods. I get better and friendly advice on other caravan forums.
