carver heater problem.

the pilot light on our heater lights but will not stay in . it will somtimes if i hold it in for a very long time. can anyone give us any advice ,thanks alison ,
 
Alison, it may be one of a couple of things, it may be the gas valve is not being pushed far enough down to stay engaged when the thermocouple warms up, or it may be a faulty thermocouple or connection.

Best advice,get it serviced by someone who knows what they are doing
