I have a Carver 3000 gas heater in my 92 caravan,it has Truma embossed on the heat exchange casting,is this the norm,I realise they originate from the same company, the reason I ask is that it doesn't look as if it's been there the life of the van plus the gas valve is hardly oxidized,I was wondering if there is any method to date them on the casting,Thanks

I did a little Google and got this:

So your van was built around the take over time though the two companies were working together prior to this. So my take is they are essentially the same thing.

However, the heater could well have been replaced at some time.

Some Carver products, including room heaters, were licence-built products designed by Truma - so it's quite possible that some Carver products could be fitted with Truma spares as Carver spares may not have been available after the takeover.

Do not believe everything you find on the internet. " Truma did not "buy out Carver in 2000" Carver only sold off their leisure products division to Truma.

Carver continues with its other engineering interests mainly focused on commercial HVAC as a major UK supplier, and with international manufacturing and sales in other countries.

If you look at my link it says it is generated by ‘experimental AI’.

Seems you have found AI’s Achilles heal.

I noticed that several companies, now "Generate" AI reviews. They use the AI, to combine from all the reviews, into one review.
So you get the AI review saying this item is wonderful but the plastic is brittle and doesn't fit well.
Stick to the Human reviews.

I think what seems to be happening is:

When I Google something. Before the normal list of options, Google seems to have a go at providing an answer which it calls ‘experimental AI’

Edit

I think this happens if the Google is in the form of a question.

I just tried Googling ‘Blackbird’

Then, ‘What do Blackbirds feed on?’

The second gave the answer followed by ‘ generative AI is experimental.’
