CC Elvaston Castle site

Hi lisa, we stayed at Elvaston Castle last summer and we were dissapointed with the facilities, for a caravan club site they are very poor and in dire need of renovation. The pitches are all grass and when we were there some were very waterlogged and some of them are very uneven.

The actual setting of the site is nice you can walk straight into the castle grounds and it would be ideal for the upcoming steam ralley.

The security at the site is good with double barriers to get in or out outside of the castle grounds opening hours.

all in all not a site we will be returning to in a hurry.

Hi Jasper

Thanks for the report. Doesen't sound too good does it? I'll pass the message on, it was for a relative.

Many thanks.

Lisa

Hi we haven't stayed at Elvaston castle site but we did stay at Beechwood just down the road and that was lovely and quiet.

we have not stayed @ the CC site @ elavaston but went to have a look around when we stayed at beechwood park (which is an excellent site just across the road) the CC site was packed to the hilt all the vans very close together and not our cup of tea
