CCC Veryan Site Cornwall

Have booked for this site for the first couple of weeks in September. Wondering if any one knows what facilities there are in the immediate area e.g. small shops for essential supplies and enjoyable walks that do not require setting off in the car.

I was at Veryan July 2007, it is a great site - facilities fine and up to the usual C&CC high standards.

However, the village is not just outside of the site gates but is a mile to a mile and a half down the road.

I always check either on google maps or on the yellow pages web site as to how near the nearest village is. (on the yellow pages web site you can ask for the nearest pub or post office or shop to any post code!)

Plenty of footpaths around the site, I bought an OS map, the lanes are generally narrow throughout Cornwall, so I would not recommend walking along the roads.
