cd/rdio player

hi folks , we want to have a cd/radio player installed into owe 2006 bailey burgundy , we will need some sort of ariel for the radio if the outside wall is pierced to take the ariel will this invalidate owe warrianty , also what sort of speakers do we need, the round car type speakers or maybe small free standing type, ...thanks...c&p

Pete and Carol, do a double take and check to see if you have speakers already fitted to your van.

Quite often they are already fitted and the wiring loom for radio and speakers is in one of the lockers and the aerial wire this goes to your Status aerial on the van

This was the case withour Compass but not sure about Bailey but worth a look.

Sir Roger.

I had a specialist firm install a Sony radio and speakers in my Sprite Alpine. They found the loom already in place so it was quiet a quick job. They stuck in 1 of the lockers an indoor FM ariel on the outside wall which works well. The downside we found was that the live feed that gives power to the radio to hold the programmes came through the on / off / car / caravan switch which meant we lost all the pre-programmed stations everytime we switched off in storage etc. Soon rectified by taking a fused feed direct from the battery.Very pleased with the result.
