changing water heaters

Hello Colin,

The Carver cascade 2 is no longer manufactured, so you would be hard pressed to find one that was guaranteed. There is a model called a Henry which is almost identical to the Cascade, but the majority of caravans are now fitted with the Truma boiler.

None of the models are a direct replacement for the Maxol, so some engineering will be needed to fit which ever morel you choose, but for your safety have all the work done by a competent gas fitter.

Not heard of a 'Maxamol' so will go with Johns thoughts and assume you mean a Maxol Malage?

If so then The Malaga is now made by Propexheatsource.co.uk

Identical so a new one will fit straight in, or spares are compatible and having recently fixed a leaking Malaga, I can say it's a very straight forward job.

thanks and sorry about the spelling before. i have desided to go with the new replacment from propex is the electric's and plugs the same. thanks again

No, the heater should be a direct replacement but there are various minor differences including wiring connections, also the control switch and it's loom, all problem arising though should be very easily overcome
