Chateau de la grenouillere (loire)

Has anyone been to this site, it looks good and we are thinking of going this summer, any feedback good or bad would be apreciated

Hi Kevin,

No - in June 2005 we stayed at the Chateau des Marais (Muides sur Loire) on the other bank of the Loire which roughly faces Chateau de la Grenouillere.

We did have a mooch around Grenouillere and it looked fine - as good as or better than other sites in the Castel group

The local area is truly fantastic - Chambord, Cheverny, Ambois, and Chenonceau were all worth visiting, and both the indoor market in Blois and the weekly street market were great - parking in Blois was an issue (easier to park on the south side of the Loire and walk across the bridge)

we stayed there last year thought it was a very nice site helpful friendly staff, didnt see much of the area as husband was taken ill, are going back again this year kids cant wait to go back and have a go at fishing in the moat.

Hi, we have been to this site loads of times and are always impressed by it every time. We have used it as stopovers enroute to further south in France and also Spain many times and last year actually stayed there for 5 nights, we have sdtayed in the sunny area (I believe) behind the pool, and then last year int he grand confort area. Wonderful site, nice facilities and beautiful area, we are returning during the May half term with 3 other families and simply can't wait. We will be there for 7 nights this time, we may even use the site again in August en route to Spain. Definitely a favourite - you wont be disappointed !!
