Does anyone go chestnuting any more? If you want to stay at Clumber park CC site, I can direct you to a few places where the chestnuts are just laying on the ground, waiting for someone to come pick them up. When I was a lad, these things never got the chance to hit the ground before we got hold of them, now it seems nobody wants them. If you can tell which wild mushrooms are edible, bring a shopping trolley!

Hi Mark

I don't think Lol will be going near Sherwood Forest holiday park because he hasn't got a caravan anymore. In fact, should he still be allowed on this forum?

That's really nice of you Mark. I was going to let them sleep in our awning with the dogs.

I know it's generous and he'll be over the moon with my offer.

They all dig up, we have had to have our garden re-turfed twice!

I'm going to email you a picture of Diesel's birthday present. It's being made by a fireman as we speak.

Roy - cheeky. I heard you made a little trailer for your daughter's bike out of empty stella cans.

That's it Lisa, kick a man when he's down.

I'm off to drown my sorrows, in a vat of Brandy......
Jump right in Roy, but bring extra sorrows, we may need them.

Yes Lisa it was produced using the "fair trade" system. I pay money, I get drunk, it's a fair trade....

It would be plain daft if Roy made them out of full Stella cans.

Getting back to the original question 'Does anyone go chestnuting any more'? - I wonder if Lord B does because he caught crabs as a boy.

There's no reply to that one, least not one that will remain on the forum ;o)
