Hello all, now i am not one to normally complain, and we have 3 grown up children of our own, so i am not at all anti kids.

BUT, we have just returned from a weekend at Grin low in the peak district, site is lovely, but the number of ferrel children running around the site, using pitches as cut throughs, throwing sticks and stones extremely close to peoples caravans, until late into the evening, really concerns me.

It seems parents let their children out to play with no idea where or what they are doing!

I must say, i have heard of instances like this but never experienced it before, especially on a caravan club site!

Andrew.

Again, we must complain to the warden and the respective club, and make sure that we are heard, if we stand back and say nothing, we can expect nothing to be done.as for Ferrel kids we don't want them on site end of story.

Hi Andrew & Sally

You forgot to mention windbreaks, people not picking up after their dogs, 4x4's, blackout windows in caravans, noisy generators, people drinking until late in their awnings.

All been done to death on here.

Regards

Lisa

Hi Andrew and Sally,

Throwing stones, near vans ? Now that is bad ! I would have been out to them and politely telling them not to do that and why.

I had to do this with kids playing football too close to the van last weekend. It went under the van a fews times, nothing major, but, joked with them that they didn't have very good ball control and could they move further away. They laughed, apologised and moved away. Sorted.

We also had very young kids playing away on their own, no sign of parents, then on 3 separate occasions, 3 different kids gone missing ! What do the parents expect ?

We always request a pitch next to the playarea, to keep an eye on our two and pop back and forward for a wee play, so kinda expect a bit of noise and kids get excited so don't always remember not to run through people's pitches, we don't mind.

In my humble opinion it's the parents responsibility to ensure that their children are safe and well behaved.

Cheers,

Alex.
