Thinking of buying citreon c-crosser - any reports on fuel economy or performance while towing?

The C-Crosser is just a re-badged and slight styling changed version of the new Mitsubishi Outlander. So any info on the Outlander carries over on to the new Citroen.

my mate had the outlander till his untimely death he was very pleased less road tax than peugeot or citroen, mid 40 mpg solo , 35 towing , and i beleive slightly cheaper to purchase than other 2

I thought Mitsubishi & Citreon each used their own, and thus different, engines.

I believe that Mitsubishi supplied the body shell to Citroen and Peugeot who in turn supplied their 2.2 diesel engine to Mitsubishi.

Hi, until recently the Mitsubishi wasa 2.0 VW diesel, with Peugot and Citroen a 2.2 PSA deisel with higher output. Now the Outlander also has the option of the PSA 2.2 engine ata price less than PSA cars, but I suspect that the Outlander at

hi just looked on mitsubishi website no mention of a 2.2 only 2.0 . all range has 7 seats range starts @ 19449 to 24749 citroen 22790 to 25490

Hi,

the Outlander Equipe does not come with 7 seats, and as the third row seats are pretty small they would only be suitable for kids or adults ona short trip. So you would gain by less weight. I have test driven the 2.0 diesel (VW unit) and it is not as bad as the press would have you belive. In October What Car the Passat gets a roasting for its engine, but that is only because the Ford (PSA) 2.0 is such a smooth unit. On the Outlander the VW 2.0 unit goes well and is more economic and a couple of tax groups lower too.
