clairefontoine Royan

Anyone been to this campsite going next year any information would be great. We are travelling from Le Harve and planning to travel through Cann Renns Nantes Saintes Royan would this be the best way ?

Not been to the site but were down near Pons this year and went to Royan, which was very pleasant.

Nice easy run using this route, but bear in mind it`s mostly tolls which adds up. Its a very effective way to get down there, but not the most picturesque of journeys.

We also went to the much vaunted La Rochelle which is just up the road and is an utter dump. I wuouldn`t waste the time or fuel.

That's the cheapest route Nigel, your other choice could be Caen to Le Mans, then Poitiers and Saintes which is the route we took this year, albeit from Dover, but it's toll road almost all the way once you're on the A28.
