Classic caravans

Here is one for the classic caravan enthusiast. In this month Practical caravan is a report of a tour to the Black Forest with a 1969 Series 1 Lamborghini Espada with a 4 litre V12 engine towing a 1967 Notin Villula caravan. The present day estimate quoted by the magazine for the car is £65000 and for the caravan is £25000. Somewhat puts my Daihatsu Fourtrack (value approx. £2000) and Bailey Ranger (value approx. £9000) to shame. Still I probably enjoy the same holiday without the crowd seekers for the classic outfit.

No Colin Bridgend, doubtful it would be the same holiday. How can you put a price on nostalgia? Good luck and gratitude for those whose finances allow them to keep the past alive.

Sorry Timbo - I may not have made myself clear in my response to having the same type of holiday. The point I was trying to make was that my caravan allows me the freedom and enjoyment of a decent holiday just as with an old van and car outfit. I will agree with you 100% that the pleasures received from using a classic car/caravan cannot be measured. I am both a classic vehicle and GWR steam engine enthusiast which I have great pleasure from and to me is priceless. Please accept my apology if my comments were ambiguous and misinterpreted.
