Clean and polish querie

I need to clean some creasote spray off ny caravan (was hoping white spirit would shift it but it hasnt) and polish the van afterwards - as well as polish a few other places like front locker - I saw a post recently about this but cant find it. Can you help.

It depends on what the spray is, old type oil based creosote or water based fence preservative, and whether it's burnt in or not?
Autoglym Tar Remover might shift the spots followed by a polish and re-wax or in an extreme case this topic from 2008 suggested that petrol was the only thing that worked.
Whatever you use make sure that you rinse the affected area straight after then wash, polish and wax the caravan to restore the shine.
