Hi, hope I have this query in the right discussion group.
We are contemplating traveling to Spain in September (Portsmouth to Bilbao) and I was wondering the advantages or disadvantages of joining Brittany ferries Club Voyage scheme.
Also are there any C L sites in Spain. We will be motoring down to Nerja, Southern Spain.
Thank you for your help

We were members of Club Voyage and think it is worthwhile joining. Free English breakfast in the morning, discounts on France crossings plus you can get a daytime cabin free.
The first time we use the France crossing to St Malo using CAMC it was a disaster as you were only allocated a cabin on arrival at the port. Our cabin only became available at about 10pm in the evening. As a member you knew which cabin you were allocated when you paid the deposit.
To really benefit you would need to do at least two crossing a year. It took us about 2 years to break even as you need to pay a one off registration fee in addition to the annual subscription. and then we felt the benefits.
Also join ACSI to enjoy discounted campsites throughout Europe.

A couple of years ago we phoned a UK ACSI listed site to make a booking and were told that ACSI only applied to foreign outfits! Never bothered trying again so maybe things have improved since.
