Clumber Park

Not so much the campsite but the actual park.

I took my bike (in the car) and went for a ride round today. It was absolutely manic. I couldn't park in any of the official car parks. I ended up parking on one of the grass verges.

I have to say cars and bikes - well, it was verging on the side of dangerous. I'd never ever go again on a sunny Sunday afternoon. What with kids falling off bikes and screaming to dogs off lead running in front of your bike to cars driving dangerously close to cyclists to cyclists cycling in the most stupid of ways, no concern for car drivers. It was a complete free for all.

I stupidly thought it would be a nice relaxing time. It would have been easier for me to attempt to cyle round M&S at 4pm on Christmas eve.

Is the actual park part of the attraction of the campsite? Not my cup of tea at all. I'll stick to the tow paths from now on. LOL!

Lisa, we once took a picnic to Clumber park on a fine sunny winter's afternoon. It was fantastic! The only company we had was wildlife.
