CMHC Buxton - walking into town?

We're off to Buxton for a long weekend soon, it's a good few years since we last went. Looking on Google it looks like there's a footpath from Solomon's Temple through the woods and into town, has anyone done this? Just curious as to how long it takes and what sort of terrain it is? ie. wet/rocky/walking boots type of walk or whether it can be done as a leisurely walk into town.

Yes , many times with the dogs. It’s muddy, steep in places and takes 30/40 minutes depending how fit you are. These days it’s the car

Gary , there are a number of routes. The easiest one was via Pooles Cavern . That results in more road walking than going over the top via Solomons Temple

My wife took our two dogs from Solomon temple on the footpath to the woods steep in places she arrived in town roughly forty five mins later

We did it today, very windy and showers but recharged our own batteries in The Old Sun pub in town before trekking back, cold and wet but thoroughly enjoyable. We think the walk through the woods has been redone with much better defined footpaths than when we were last here 11 years ago.
