Coachman Amara 520/4 and Peugot 306 Estate - Not so good ?

We have recently just bought a secondhand Amara from a dealer (after a 7 year absense from caravaning) which is just lovely and we got it for a song. However we are a little concerned as our car depending on where we look may be a little to light to pull the van. So we are considering others such as a Nissan Terrano 2.7TDi LWB. Can anyone advise us if this would be a good match or if you have any experience of this car as the dealers always seem to say they are great etc etc

Thanks in advance

Hi Chris

Try looking on www.whattowcar.com it will give you a fairly accurate guide as to what you are trying to acheive. I have recently trading in my 4x4 and bought a Volvo V70 which is pulling a 1500kg caravan. On paper it says that the combination is running between 90 and 95% but with careful loading and correct noseweight it makes a superb match. We have just returned from a weekend near Chester and are very pleased with the way the Volvo performed. My point is that use the information as a guide and depending on how long you have been a tugger and how comfortable you are then just use common sense.

But above all be safe.

Regards

Tom
