Coathangers falling off rail in wardrobe

We put them on alternate ways & secure them all together with a bungee cord

Or drape a large towel over them if I can't find the bungee

Take the clothes in a bag and hang them up when we get there. Don't like the idea of quite heavy clothes swinging about on a rail held on by two screws.

Put some 15mm water pipe insalation (the foamstuff with the split up the side) over the clothes rail, then your hangers will not move

Hi
My solution as follows:
Drill two holes through the hanging rail close to either end of the rail. Buy a length of bungee cord and tie it tight so it goes up one side of the rail and back down the other (through each hole). If the hanging rail is quite long, then use a piece of string to pinch the cord(s) to the centre of the rail, dividing the hanging length into two. Normal hangers then are held onto the rail by the cord on either side.
This arrangement has just been 3600 miles around Spain and France without anything coming off once!
Cheers
Paul

I have a suitable length of 2" downpipe cut down it's length. Snapping the length over the hangers keeps them in place.

we use hanging shelves. two of these provide 12 shelves - 3 each for us. I don't take clothes that need hanging up. Works really well!
