Coed-Y-Llwyn, Ffestiniog

Has anyone visited the CC site in Ffestiniog, Coed-Y-Llwyn?

I have just booked, but then I read a note about a narrow entrance road, and is unsuitable for long outfits.

How narrow is narrow? Should I be worried with a 21Ft long van?

Is the road only for the site, or is it a through road to somewhere else?

Thanks in anticipation.

Tim

Hi Tim, It must be 4 years since I visited the site. I really don't remember there being any problems for access. I just remember it as being a very nice site. Best Wishes, George T.

Hi, We stayed there last summer, its a really nice site spread out through the trees. The access road is fine.

When on site we stayed in the bottom left hand corner which we found kept the sun longest at the end of the day, ideal for eating out. Some nice places to visit nearby - Portmerion. Have you been here before?

Thanks for the replies.

The colour piccies of the site on the CC web site and in their 2007 book attracted my attention, especially the potential to see the mountains.

The last time I visited this area was 28 years ago as a child, we visited the slate mine but have never been to Portmeirion, my wife is looking forward to that (Pottery! - more bloody vaes).

Seems I am worrying about nothing, but it will be my second time out EVER with a caravan, so you see why I was concerned.

Odd that the CC should make that staement about the access if it isn't of a real concern.

Thanks

Tim
