COMPATABILITY 406-ELDDIS ODYESSEY 505

HI IVE JUST RETURNED FROM MY FIRST OUTING AS A CARAVANER'STAFFORD TO WEYMOUTH AND BACK AND WAS A LITTLE WORRIED

THE WAY EVERY TIME A ARTIC OR COACH WENT PAST IT MADE THE VAN SWAY AROUND SOMETIMES ALOT'I USE A PEOG 406 GTX 2.0 PET TO PULL

ELDDIS ODDESSY 505 WITH NO STABLIZER AND AVERAGE SPEED 55MPH

THE ULAIDEN WEIGHT IS 1105 LAIDEN 1350 AND CAR KERB I BELIVE IS 1420 I DONT PUT MUCH IN VAN SO RECKON IT TOWS AT AROUND 1250 MAX

COULD ANYONE TELL ME IF MY MATCH SOUNDS OK AND WOULD A STABLIZER DO THE TRICK AS THE CARS PERFORMANCE IS FINE WITH VAN'THANKS ROB.

I used to use a 406 (1998 1.9TD, kerbweight 1350kgs) to pull a 1300kg caravan and it was fine. Check your noseweight as if it is too light it will make the 'van "twitchy". The 406 limit is either 75 or 80kgs (it will be in the handbook).

Yes you will have to drill two holes on the caravan to hold the blade support, hope this sorts your problem.
