I am working on Windows XP and MSN Messanger. When I open up my e-mail page the "On line contacts" has a red cross against it preventing me going on line. How do I remove/rectify this problem? - any idaes please.
 
Could be them or something in your settings somewhere.

Try a system restore to a date when you know it was working properly.
 
Silly question of the day....but are you logged into the internet when you are opening the email page? Check to make sure you have not clicked on work off line (not sure if this applies to msn)
 
Colin,I have not got a clue what the problem is as I am a total dinasaur with computers but if you can get Brave fart he is brilliant as IT is his job I found him very helpful and he even sent me software.
 
Plotter you are no more than a computer dinasaur than I am - therefore I will use the old saying "Great minds think alike". I will say no more. Once again well done today sir and all the best for the future.
