Hello Dugiandcarol,

Condensation is the result of warm moist air coming into contact with a cooler surface.

Whenever we breath out, or use the gas cooker we add warm moist air to the caravan, so its almost inevitable that condensation will occur in cooler weather conditions.

The use of a dehumidifier is going to use power, and because the caravan has some fixed ventilation, all it will do is to dry and dry out the surrounding countryside! The same applies to crystals or salt.

The best way to prevent condensation is to keep the caravan well ventilated.

Not quite sure if you mean you are taking the van with you or not. Isn't it warm in Spain in the winter? Either way, the only way to avoid condensation build up is good ventilation.
