Control knob for fan on Truma

Just replaced the battery on our Truma S3002 and whilst doing so the front casing of the fire fell over, unfortunately the fan control knob wwas still connected to the five core cable.

I re-assembled the fire and discovered that the fan doesn't work any more - the cable seems OK but I think the switch may now be damaged. Is there any way to check either of the above.

Thanks for any help.

Check that both ends of the cable are fully plugged in. Try the fan on full setting and waggle the Auto-Off-Manual switch. If it starts to work, give it a spray with electrical cleaner.

Hi SBS, thanks for the reply. I've checked the cable with a multimeter - it's OK.

I've got a feeling that the cable has pulled something loose in the switch?

I was hoping someone else may have had a similar experience, before I buy a new switch and find out the old one is working.

I think I will have to have a word with Gary at Arc Systems and buy a switch from him.

Regards,

Ron.
