Lol

Why not purchase a slow cooker/crock pot. It works from the electrics with a trickle charge. Great meals can be cooked whilst you and the family are out enjoying the day. Great to come home to the smell of a good home cooked meal!

You could also consider a George Forman grill.

I have used a pressure cooker but found that cooling it down quickly isn't all that easy in the van.

Lol from memory haven't you got an all singing all dancing twin axle caravan with all the bells and whistles, what's wrong with the kitchen?

Anyway when we meet I'll show you how to make scouse, dead easy:)o>
We do have a twin axle Roy, but even on these there are compromises. The parallel seats are a little on the short side, the kitchen lacks work surface and the fixed bed is a little short, but adequate for the dearest and me. In fact the only things we have in abundance is wardrobe space and a huge shower. Saying there is a lack of workspace is a little naughty of me though, as it's our own fault, we have a 15inch LCD TV, and that sits on the work surface taking up space, we don't use the designated TV storage as it's too high for comfortable viewing and that old bugbear with LCD's of picture viewing angle comes into play, also I want to use the space for a microwave. So with kettle and TV, space is limited in the kitchen, the new Senator being better in this area with a nice removable draining board. I look forward to you teaching me how to cook scouse, but what is it? I know a neat and easy pasta dish that's very much a comfort food, but have no idea what scouse is.

Ok, this is getting good, some nice simple recipies here, worrying about Marks addiction to alcohol in his food though!

Hi Sharon, if this is about the remark I made regarding Marks addiction to alcohol, I apologise, it was said in jest, when you cook with alcohol, it gets burnt off, hope you or Mark didn't take it the wrong way. As for your recipies, they look quite suitable for the caravan to me, particularly the Cajun Lamb.

What made mark decide not to continue with being a chef?

Hi Lol, scouse is basically a stew made from meat and veg all in one pan, it's an old Liverpool dish (a bit like myself) hence the name scouser

Roy

Thanks for the offer but my mum always told me to keep away from men north of Watford Gap. Sorry - I'm sure your dish is absolutely delicious it's just that a woman needs to be wined and dined, not eating out of a 'pan'.

Lisa.

I stop being a chef a cup of thing one was the split shifts and I got a job in plaiting & track work. I was getting more money. I got others to work has a chef but no of them would pay the same or more.

I did not think a thing a bout the remark.

When I cook at home for speed use jar of sauce has you only see to have to use two or one pan. A lot of the time I will had thing to it what it dues not say for you to put in.
