Can anyone suggest a campsite in these areas, ideally nice quiet site close to or in village.Looking to go beginning August just want one with peace and tranquility if that is at all possible, look forward to your suggestions.

try sunny meadown, goonhaven, cornwall.

treyarnon bay caravan park but its cheap and so basic, road are also very tight.

Try Widend Caravan site at Marldon in south Devon. This is a commercial site which is family owned and run. We have been to this site for years as we enjoy the peace and quiet of the site and the area. It has a shop, outdoor heated pool, small club area for evening drink and first class excellent toilet/shower facilities. They will only accept family bookings - no single sex parties are accepted. It is very central for Torquay, Paignton, Brixham and Totnes. We can thoroughly recommend this site.

I just managed to get in on a site near Hayle, St.Ives. Got a cancellation, but phoned loads of sites. I think this late you will be lucky. Already the tourist boards are saying that they have had the most bookings across the board since 1974.Another pause for thought for you, phoned Polmanter site near St. Ives and that site is nearly booked for next year never mind this.
