crack in shower tray

Hi We have found a small hairline crack, about 1 inch long, in the corner of our shower tray. Its a Bailey Ranger 500/5 2001. As we dont actually use the shower very much, we was wondering if there is a product on the market that we could use to repair it, rather than have to pay out for a new tray.

Lorraine ,

I had a whole chunk missing from me shower tray. Mine was a plastic one. All I did with it was to take it out, find the missing bit, then using a soldering iron I tacked it back on. When I had finished and got a smooth surface inside the tray, I re-enforced the underside with fibreglass. Works fine now and you cant see the join.

Go to your local window fitters and ask them for the stuff they use to weld windows with. Its a liquid just like water but can fix the plastic back together and if applied with care will not be visible. Our last van shower tray was fixed like that while we waited for the replacement.
