Crazy gang

Just to let you know, we popped over to Sherwood Forest campsite yesterday to check on the peeps. They're all behaving themselves and none of them has been asked to leave the campsite yet!

They put a fabulous spread on last night for the cheese and wine party. It was great to catch up with them.

One is trying to enjoy oneself not themselves - single tense only. Too much of the amber, red or white netcer? The only problem with alcohol is that it costs a fortune to really get blotto and then the following day there is the self inflicted headache. Thank God I have never been down that route.

Well I have just poured myself a nice JD & Coke, so I feel a little better, hubby said I must have the best, I did pick up Tesco's own brand, but hubby kindly put it back on the shelf.

Sorry for the pause - visitors. Regarding Tesco whisky their Special Reserve as a blended whisky is quite nice - Daily Mail approx. 2 months ago rated it the best value for money of the Scottish blended whiskys. We buy the half bottle Tesco brandy for the Christmas cakes and what is left is generally consumed over the festive period - very nice it is as well. Can really recommend it as a nice brandy

Just had a marvellous idea - have a glass of whisky. We are also leaving on Sunday morning bright and early but just for the week. Hope you have a great time and that the weather will be kind to you. We have stayed at a site in Cheddar (can't remember the name but had a totum pole at the entrance) - lovely little site but had embarressing names for their local drinks at the bar. Also stayed at Home Farm in Edithmead - too big a site and too many uncontrolled teanage children riding bikes, playing football, swearing, etc. Not needed at our time of life - I now enjoy the quiet relaxed atmosphere of a family site.

No whisky for me tonight,finished that off last night, it has to be Vodka & Coke, I also hope you have a brilliant week, hope the weather stays like this for us both. I know what you mean,big sites, with unruly children, bikes,roller blades, not our scene, we don't have it here, so I don't want it when we go away, as I said it's really a working holiday, we stay in our tourer on a very,very,small site, normally about 2 other caravans as well, boss owns a farm near where we stay, so I will not need my Mop and Bucket, more like a fork and shovel hehehe Liz

Reminds me of the chap who was wheeling a barrow of horse manure passed a mental asylum. A patient looked over the wall and asked him what he was going to do with it. The reply was that he intended to put it on his rhubarb. The patient answered that he had better come inside here as they had custard on their rhubarb. The old ones are the best.

O thank god for that, down tools girls, funny you should say that, the farm house itself, up in the top attic used to be for the Land Girls, weird really,old winding stairs up, old writing on the walls quite interesting.
