creaky caravan

We have had our swift Dannette for some years now and have noticed for some time that when we set off the van creaks even though we are carefull about the weight,once we are on our way it stops,the age of the van is 1995,the only repairs we have had to do is delaminate part of the floor new tyres and a leaky tap. could someone tell us why it creaks.

hi are you sure its not your hitch that is creaking? do you have a alko hitch fitted?

mine occasionally creaks.

i then clean the towball ball with break cleaner from an airosol and a rub with wire wool.

i also give a quick squirt up into the hitch itself.
