I'm the long time wife of "cris" who was barred along with my brother Brian for winding up the forum I believe.

cris had a very serious accident a few days later and spent several weeks in hospital and has only recently been able to sit and read this forum.

His large ego boosted by a few references to him, he would like to say "HELLO" to all and especially the mods!

We sold our Berkshire home very quickly and I am well on with our move to France, his accident has hindered the move and he is being flown to the US for some specialist corrective surgery next week.

I'm now the Caravan towing driver and took our Senator to France about 5 weeks ago.

He has to use a six wheel two wheel drive electric wheel chair at present and said to tell "Clivev" that he's longing for 4 wheel drive now. Being fit enough to go caravanning again is a long way off as he caused himself more damage by trying to walk to soon.

He's set aim on being able to go back to Windsor one day soon and run 5 miles with the dogs again and will not accept that walking is his first hurdle.

Best wishes from cris and Maureen.

Sad to here this news but really pleased cris is on the mend.

cris is most certainly "his own man" and I applaud that. I am sure that his personality is such that he will not give into anything.

As for the 4WD wheelchair - most definatly a marketing opportunity their. A guy with muscle wasting desease walks his dog locally in the forest where we go (very funny because given half a chance the dog likes to sit between the guys legs on the motorised chair rather than actually walk!) - he is restricted to the gravel paths and even these are impassible after heavy rain.

A simple 4x4 version shouldn't be that difficult.

Where is my sketch pad?

Get well soon cris - but why are you not posting? I broke my wrist last year so i know all about what you are going thro! (joke!) and I was told typing is good physiotherapy.

So grab a lap-top and have a go!

At me if you want! You could join the club.

He'll probably see your post later today Clivev when he returns from hospital.

His log in is blocked as he and Brian were barred, plus his sense of humour is at an all time low as he fights constant pain with medication.

He had a bad high speed race track testing crash setting up a friends car. Not his fault and we have a legal fight against the tracks owners and another, as they should not have let the other driver on the track.

We are proud of him as he would have killed the other man and he sacrificed himself with a calculated move, he has taken a bad beating and has had to hand his business over to my brother and others probably for good.

The only good thing is moving to the warmth of France, the doctors have warned him that his damaged bones will not take to the cold of winter to kindly.

He has fought his way to the top before, but age is not helping him this time.

Hi Cris and Maureen,

So sorry to hear what happened, but glad to hear that Cris is fighting his way back up again.I'd assumed that you were already living it up in France.

The web site has been pretty quiet of late....people on holidays and some have taken the huff and left.

I've changed my name to Lady M as there were other interlopers with the same name appearing in print.!!

Anyway,I fancied being elevated to the upper classes.!!

We're off in 3 weeks to South Hams.....my daughter was there in June with her family and had a wonderful time.Cris gave us advice about sites in the area,so at last the time has arrived.

Cris.....keep your chin up and keep smiling....and we're all thinking about you.

Hello wife of "Cris".

Sorry to hear about the crash. This sounds like a bad accident.

What was he driving and where? I thought motor sport had relieved itself of incidents such as this, especially when none racing activities are taking part. Usually tracks are so well managed.

At least Cris sounds like he is on the mend, let's hope for a speedy recovery.

I haven't been on the forum long, what has Cris done to get himself banned?
