going back again next year last time we stayed in ulverston at bardsea leisure in the south lakes can any recommend a quiet site, no club, bar etc., for us must take dogs

You might want to have a look at Castlerigg Hall caravan site which is in Keswick. It is a quiet site which allows dogs and has a shop on site which sells everyday things and homemade food. There is no bar or play park but there is a large playing field which is situated away from the tourers. You can walk from site into Keswick probably takes about 20 minutes. You go through a wood and down a lane which brings you out in Kewswick. The walk is perfect for letting your dog off, although if it's anyhting like ours it will be straight into the stream.
