Can I wash my caravan curtains or will they shrink ? If I can't wash them can anyone recommend a firm that sells replacements. I have cleaned the roller blinds but we also have concertina type blinds that pull up from the bottom. They are made of a sort of cloth, so I don't think I could clean them, but can you buy replacements ? Similarly, I've found a few places they do cushion covers/new foam etc. Can anyone recommend someone ? The van is an Abbey Spectrum 535 (2005) and by the way from my earlier post I found Milton and Fairy liquid (in a bowl of hot water ) good to remove a lot of the staining.

Yes, I may try thst. The previous owners were smokers (see my easrlier post) so I wanted to really freshen it all up. It's ten times better after a good wash inside.

As Parksy says try the dry cleaning route as probably safer. I have to say If we were in the market for a second hand van or for that matter car, I would never buy one that had been smoked in!! A full replacement of curtains carpets and curtains would probably cost you over a thousand pounds for a proper job, you could of course sort the carpet and curtains quite easily yourself, buy a remnant, cut to size and have it professionally bound.
I washed all my curtains in the washing mashine on cold with a slow spin with dreft and they were fine. I wash loads of things that say dry clean only and have never had a problem.

Luckily, the floor is wood - or laminate, whatever they make them of these days ! I may try washing one curtain as you say.

I've just seen This Advert over on CT2 from someone hoping to sell a set of caravan curtains, they look like net curtains
I washed a bedroom pair in the washinbg machine on a delicate wash, no spin and spun them at 600rpm after - fine , so I did all the rest
Next problem - feeding them all back on - any tips ?
