Cycle Carriers

Hi,

Does anyone have any good experience of roof mount cycle carriers?

I currently have a pendle 4 bike (tow bar mount) carrier of which I use whilst towing my caravan. However, I recently purchased an Abbey Spec 620 twin and have been concerned about my noseweight. I need to carry 6 bikes and have started looking at roof mount carriers but can not decide which is best - looks like its between thule 591 and Mont Blanc. I intend to put 4 on roof and 2 on Pendle (car is Lancruiser). Any one used either of these?
 
I remember reading a comparison test of various roof carrier systems not so very long ago but I can't recall where. I'll see if I can dig it up again but if my memory serves me right, the Thule carrier got a surprisingly poor rating for retention in terms of crash performance. The load just ripped the carrier out of its anchorage. I believe the Mont Blanc was better but I'll have another look if I can confirm those results.
