Damaged worktop

Whilst on holiday with my much loved Avondale Kestrel, I dropped a bottle of sauce from the top locker onto the worktop round the sink. It has cracked the formica, and put a dent into the wood beneath. Can anyone suggest a repair method, or where can I get replacement worktops? (Its an oatmeal colour)

Thanks

Bill

2 choices

1, contact a dealer and ask if they can get the material and replace it all.

2, and I did this once. place a different colour laminate as an insert to replace the damaged section. When I need to do this I made it look like a place you would rest a hot pan and used a heat resistant laminate. Looked good and lots of people said what a great idea it was to have somwhere to put a hot pan without damaging the worktop.

I've been trying to get some formica/laminate and its not easy!!!

Nobody seems to stock it any more in small sizes(and not many in big ones---

ive seen a ceramic tile, glued in, after routing out the worktop to size, u have to pack it out to get the height right, but it will look purpose built when u grout it in.
