Can you replace c line sockets with the standard white sockets

I was wondering if it is possible to replace c line sockets with normal white house ones
I want to double up a couple of sockets and put usb outlets in

Yes. They conform to the same regs. But you can get all the bits you need in the C-line. And some EBay outlets have them at more reasonable prices.

They are a different size so may not fit the same aperture.

Without hacking at the woodwork you would need to use surface mount boxes for the white ones. Simple but could stick out to far.
To add extra C-line ones it's just a question of having the correct size hole cutter, no hacking involved.
