Guess I'm happy now.....yippeee.....all back together B)

Still got to put the wheel spat back on which arrived on Friday, but every thing is back on and water tight.
Just waiting for my digital caliper's to arrive to get the precise sized rivets.

Happy bunny me :) B)

Hi Kevin.........I am admiring your excellent hard work but I am struggling to understand where all the damp is coming from?
Was the plastic inner wheel cover split ?
Water should not be able to get to the rotted area from wheel spay...... and even then towing in damps conditions is only a small fraction in the life of a caravan.
( I am not making any jokes here about your so called reputation ;) )

Are there any internal leaks or condensation getting to the area involved?

So after completing the repairs I have been thinking about your comments above for a couple of weeks now,
dont want to risk any further problems, so been in the van today and have removed the wardrobe shelves, the unit under the sink, some more shelves and took the shower unit off to expose all the pipework, doesn't seem to be any evidence of water tracking along any where, so next weekend I am to connect the water and run all the taps and double check for any leaks before replacing it all.

Update;

Had the van serviced today and the good news is that the readings are down to 14% one side of the arch and 15% on the other, happy chappie me......

UNTIL........

The reading just below and to the left of the awning light was read.....50% :angry:
This has been going on for two years now, first time I removed and resealed, last year I bought a new awning light and resealed.
And talking to the engineer today we have come to the conclusion it is the awning rail joint just above and to the right of the door. Problem is we cant check the reading from the ceiling down as there is a shelf unit which has a back on it.

Damp repair No 3 on its way....Dont you just love caravans. :unsure:
