I can confirm the Police are happy to act on the evidence from a NextBase 512; my brother met a car coming at him in the middle of the road and the police were very keen to receive the recording!
 
Had an accident when a fella went through a red light, wrote my motor off. The police were very interested in the 3 minute section that showed the the accident and that's all they recorded.

PS just had a look, am surprised at the suddenness of the accident.

There is a public portal where members of the public can post their recordings of other motorists doing illegal acts. Some police forces act on them, others don’t. Shades of Orwell or Stasi.
