Edwina - try Castleton in the Hope Vallet the CC site is open all the year and is very popular. the site is in the lee of Mam Tor and you wake up surrouded by the hills you can walk for mile either on the tops or valleys. Blue John mines are of tourist interest and Castleton is festooned with lighted Xmas trees at Xmas time. Go GO Go you will love it.

Edwina - Shiraz is quite right! Castleton is a lovely village to visit any time of year, but especially now. Not only do you have all the pubs, restaurants, decorations, etc., you also have wonderful scenery to visit. If you haven't been - you haven't lived!!! Unfortunately, we don't go in our van as we live nearby. As Shiraz says: GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooo!!! You will love it.
