dialysis while caravaning

My wife will shortly be living with Peritoneal Dialysis, does anyone go caravaning, home or abroad with this equipment,

Hi Tony.

I am not sure if it still is so, but sometime ago I worked on a renal unit as an RGN. I remember that there are camp sites that are set up for taking people with both types of dialysis. It would be worth speaking to the renal unit, or the Nurse Practitioner for details. I am unaware of any abroad. I am sure that one of the kidney research websites would give you information too.

Good luck,

Dave

I'll try asking around for you. You should be able to aquire a list of real units where you can attend on a temporary basis while on holiday.

I suffer from adult sleep apnea and rely on an air pump at night so fortunately for me all I need is a good electrcity supply.

The caravan faternaty are a friendly lot and I'm sure you'll never be short of a helping hand on whatever site you stay.
