Diaphram Pump

My Diaphram pump has just died (20psi @ 6.4 lpm). I have an optimus aldi hot water/heating system in my 1988 Bessacarr Caravan which is in pretty good general condition. The only pumps i can find are either 16psi or 30psi. I feel 16psi will be too low. Will i be safe installing one @ 30psi, bearing in mind the complex hotwater system and the age of the caravan?

Thanks Mike

Flow rate is just as important as pressure.

If the 16 psi pump that's available can manage 6.4 litres/min, or thereabouts, then go for that.

If you still have the original installation / operating instructions for the Optimus it may state what range of pressures and flow rates are suitable.

The Alde central heating system uses it's own tiny circulation pump, the 16psi pump then will be adequate for your taps and shower.
