digital reception at Weymouth

off to sunny seaview at weymouth next week is there good reception for freeview there or do i need the satellite dish.Thanks in advance

We are also off to Weymouth next week for two weks at Moreton C&CC site, apparently bad phone and TV reception there so I will be taking my jockey wheel mounted mast and aerial

Terry, next to the Frampton Arms at the Moreton station rail crossing is a radio site that I installed back in 1997. I'm sure you would get good reception with your aerial up the mast! I hope you have a great holiday in my home county. The food in the Frampton arms is very good. I used to use the site a lot before it was C&CC as we used to rally there every Easter and October.

Hi Dave, if you go to this website http://www.ukfree.tv/transmitters.php

You can type in the postcode and it will give you digital reception information, you can get a compass bearing to work out which way to point the aerial, as not everyone will be using digital some may point to a different transmitter.

Thanks,looked at a couple of sites and it seems til digital transmitters go to full power reception there is pretty poor with french channels overpowering local signals also radio reception is not generally good so think well take the sat dish
