Can anyone help, does the 5 seat discovery have more leg room on the back seats than the 7 seat as we have just test driven a 7 seater and the leg room behind the front seats was a bit limited.

Don't think so!

We had a TD5, and on the rare ocassion it went back to the dealers, the courtesy car was often a five seater, and there was no extra leg room in the back. I would presume they were all standardly built! :O)

same disastrous legroom in the 5 seat as the 7 seat, its hard work putting the kids in carseats, especially if theyre still in rearward facing ones. The 7 seat does give you the bonus of Air suspension on the rear , which is self levelling and the rear of the car will never dip with extra weight. Great drive, cracking towcar, but disastrous rear legroom same as a lot of 4x4's.
